Meet the Team

Karen Watkins

Co-founder and partner of Kool Kidz Netball, Karen is a UKCC Level 2 netball coach, holds a valid DBS and is a qualified first aider. Karen has worked with primary age children and has recently achieved her degree in Teaching & Learning Support.

She successfully runs a junior team, Sparks Allstars, with co-founder, Nikki.

Nikki Dunning

Co-founder and partner of Kool Kidz Netball, Nikki is a UKCC Level 2 netball coach, holds a valid DBS and is a qualified first aider. She is also the club's Safeguarding Officer. 

She successfully runs a junior team, Sparks Allstars, with co-founder, Karen. She is also working towards a degree in Sports, Coaching & Fitness.

Alex Hughes

Alex has been coaching with Karen and Nikki at both Kool Kidz and Sparks as a key member of the team. She achieved her UKCC Level 2 coaching qualification during lockdown. Alex is also a qualified first aider with a valid DBS. Unfortunately, Alex is not able to coach with us at the moment as she has moved to the States with her family. Fingers crossed she may be back coaching with us one day!
