Key Stage Two - Years 3 & 4
High 5 is a fun entry game of netball that has been especially adapted by England Netball for U11's. With only five players on court for each team, and off-court roles, participants learn more than just about the playing and engages more children more of the time. A key part of the High 5 game is that players rotate around the positions, meaning the players may become more adaptable.
Reasons to play High 5:
- player centred approach
- promotes fair play
- encourages young people to develop a range of movement skills
- modified rules allowing more time for decision making
- sits within year five and six of the National Curriculum for Physical Education, for girls and boys
- encourages team work and introduces leadership roles
- preparing them to be 'club ready' if they want to continue playing netball
- meet new friends
